While mobile gaming might not be the best platform for real-time action in the form of first-person shooters, it's perfect for strategy games. Developers have noticed that and the market was flooded with MMO games like Castle Clash, Clash of Clans, and others. Let's check out Lords Mobile, one of the most popular games on the market right now.
Lords Mobile is a real-time strategy MMO with certain RPG elements. Basically, you create your base, train your troops, upgrade everything you have, and try to dominate your opponents. When it comes to fighting, there are large-scale army wars or RPG-like hero battles where you use your heroes' skill to progress in the game.
The game's fighting is global and you can fight against anyone, form alliances and clans, and come together to fight off foes. The game can also boast of having a large variety of fighting units. Depending on your opponent's army structure, you'll have to send out different units if you want to come out victorious.
Everything above seems well-executed and interesting. However, in reality, Lords Mobile is the very definition of a pay-to-win game. Progress is slow and everything takes ages to finish upgrading unless you spend real money. Other players who pay are able to harass you and attack you, no matter the level difference between you. If you decide not to spend money, you'll see that you can only spend a couple of minutes inside the game before you're forced to wait. This is a concern many players have pointed out but the developers are obviously more interested in paying players.
